Thing i have learnt today
(Second clay lesson)
-We begin by doing the clay base on the middle of the wheel. Use the niddle to cut out the excuss clay. we then score the base and the coils, use the coils to coil around the base for 3 layers.

First clay lesson in art today

We learnt how to knead, pinching and pressing the clay

We need to cover the clay with a wet cloth to maintain the moisture in the clay at all time

We also learn to use all kind of tools to score and join clays together

We always plan on doing the clay structure and try out new designs and experiment with the clay

I feel that clay is very interesting, we get to make whatever we want.

Anti-Drug

A few weeks ago, my art teacher released a task to make an Anti-Drug Poster to be entered into a competition.Having been told to do such, I went on to compose this piece for the competition.

The dull expression on the man face seems emotionless and senseless of his surroundings. This is a feature similar to what a 'stoned' person would look like.

After such, I drew skulls going out of his head to signify the possibility of death. It was also drawn on the head as the brain is where all the drug hallucinations occur making the person feel at ease. The fact that I added this smoky effect with the skulls was to show that the person is in a mist or a dream like state.

Lastly, the background is red as red is a very intimidating colour and also symbolises blood. Blood is also a common symbol for death or injury.

As for all, this are the reasons why and I composed this piece in such a manner.

It look simple but the colour chosen caught my attention

I like how the lines are drawn on the face 

The texture on the painting made it very interesting

Red colour used on the guy in the painting made him stand out

The colour contrast in this artwork captured my interest.
